BIO

Lakeland, Florida native Elijah “POLA” Harris is the newest rap artist hitting the scene with hard-hitting beats riding under a masterful flow straight from the streets. His style can be compared to no other as it artfully combines a northern style swagger with a southern twist.

At 27 years old, the rap artist began to utilize music as an outlet for the hard life he was living. “I wrote my first song two years ago while I was sitting out a four-year sentence,” says Pola. Pola lets his struggles bleed through his lyrics, allowing his fans into the darkness that encompassed his youth. “When I was locked up in prison, I started to rap,” says Pola. “That’s when I learned how to express myself through lyrics.”

Pola grew up with his father who was also a drug dealer. From this, he learned the streets were a fast way to get money. Pola writes his rhymes for those who have followed in the footsteps of his difficult upbringing. “I’m inspired by anyone who has experienced the struggles I have endured,” says Pola. “What matters to me is seeing the expressions on their face and the way my music makes them feel.”

Now done with the street-life, Pola is now poised and ready to take on the world of music. Modeling his style after rap greats like Tupac and ScarFace, Pola posses the tools to rise to the top.

Pola is currently signed to an independent label called SoDope Records.

In 2010, his 1st mixtape/street album WELL CONNECTED, in all its glory, was laced with throbbing beats amidst chopped and screwed undertones that will dance underneath defying lyrics drenched with the streets.

He is currently working on his 2ND mixtape/album IF THE TRUTH BE TOLD VOL. 1: INSPIRED BY THE HATRED that is due to make its first appearance this Spring during the NBA All-star Weekend in Orlando, Florida and will be available for download.
